Departing on the 28th April – our team of 16 volunteer drivers will be driving a convoy of 8 trucks with 120 tons of aid across Europe to Ukraine.
This time, thanks to a donation from Dave and Jo Woods, we will be delivering a state of the art mobile classroom to hand over to a charity in Ukraine.
Our aid is 50/50 food and medical and will mostly be made up of the following:
Food – tinned food, pasta, rice, flour, baby formula
Medical and first aid items, defibrillators
Wheelchairs, crutches, body braces
Hygiene products, nappies, wipes
Folding beds, mattresses, bedding
We take our aid all the way to Ukraine where we hand it over to our local charity partners that distribute it throughout the country – for example a lot of the food will be destined for the east where food supplies are scarce.
It’s a 3000 mile round trip and as you can imagine the fuel bill alone will add up – this can sometimes be in the region of £15k to £18k alone so any financial donations to the charity will help the wheels keep rolling and mean we can keep returning – this will be our second convoy of 8 trucks in 4 weeks.
We still have some space on the vehicles so if you have any of the items above in bulk that can be delivered to our warehouse in Leeds there is a good chance we can take them but please call first!
Please note we cannot accept bin liners of used clothing etc we only take brand new boxed and labelled items.
Keep an eye on our social feeds, we’ll be updating them where possible along the way and please hit the donate button above!
